Former President Jimmy Carter Enters Hospice Care: Charity

ATLANTA (AP) — The Carter Heart mentioned Saturday that former President Jimmy Carter has entered residence hospice care.

The charity created by the 98-year-old former president mentioned on Twitter that after a collection of quick hospital stays, Carter “determined to spend his remaining time at residence together with his household and obtain hospice care as a substitute of further medical intervention.”

It mentioned he has the complete help of his medical group and household, which “asks for privateness at the moment and is grateful for the priority proven by his many admirers.”

Carter, a Democrat, turned the thirty ninth U.S. president when he defeated former President Gerald R. Ford in 1976. He served a single time period and was defeated by Republican Ronald Reagan in 1980.
